Craig Pfeiffer to Be New MMI President & CEO on May 1st
WASHINGTON, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Money Management Institute (MMI), the national association representing the $4 trillion managed investment solutions and wealth management industry, announced today that Craig D. Pfeiffer, Founder and currently Chief Executive Officer of Advisors Ahead, LLC, has been selected to succeed Christopher L. Davis as MMI President on May 1, 2015.

Mr. Pfeiffer is a proven senior financial services executive with 34 years of experience including 29 years with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (MSSB) and its predecessor firms. He transitioned from MSSB, where he was Vice Chairman and a member of the executive committee, in 2012 to found Advisors Ahead (www.advisorsahead.com), a firm committed to the development of the next generation of Financial Advisors. Advisors Ahead provides an innovative bridge between graduating university students and financial services firms. Their programs supplement university curriculums with industry content and practical in-field experience.
From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Pfeiffer held a progression of senior leadership positions at MSSB, including the National Sales Group and responsibility for marketing strategy and client communications, desktop technology solutions, and brokerage-based banking. During this period, Mr. Pfeiffer advanced innovative programs to increase advisor teaming and initiated the foundation for a culture of excellence with care of the client. Additionally, he was responsible for financial planning and wealth advisory resources, and a number of other businesses including retirement services and the global corporate equity solutions group.
From 1982 to 2003, Mr. Pfeiffer advanced through field management roles, starting as a Financial Advisor and transitioning into field management at all levels. Throughout his career he has been active in the leadership of many industry, community and charitable organizations.
