Crain Promotes Two Publishers To Vice President

DETROIT, Dec. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Crain Communications Inc announced today that Publishers Jason Stein of Automotive News and Brennan Lafferty of Plastics News have been promoted to vice presidents.

Mr. Stein has been named vice president after overseeing Automotive News as publisher and editor since May 2013. Mr. Stein directs editorial and commercial operations for the publication, which remains one of the world's largest automotive business-to-business news outlets. He joined Automotive News in 2003 and spent four years at the helm of Automotive News Europe in Munich, where he managed a news operation and commercial entities covering 32 European countries as well as marketing and event activities.

Mr. Lafferty also was named vice president for his leadership roles as publisher of Plastics News and head of the Crain Global Polymer Group brands in the United States and Europe. Publisher of Plastics News since July 2013, Mr. Lafferty oversees the U.S.'s leading plastics publication, and is responsible for the overall management and sales. The Plastics News brand includes a weekly print newspaper, periodic daily newspapers at the world's largest plastics trade fairs, digital content in English and Chinese, online data reports, and five annual conferences. Prior to joining Plastics News, Lafferty had been publisher since 2011 of Waste & Recycling News, where he managed the editorial and business operations while overseeing the launch of three annual conferences and an award-winning webcast.
