Creator Commerce's Next Disruptor: MuseSelect Helps Turn Influencers Into Brand Owners
As U.S. social commerce is set to top $100 billion, the AI-powered fashion platform connects creators directly with manufacturers, helping them move beyond affiliate selling to build brands of their own
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MuseSelect today launched its U.S. Creator Fashion Market at CoCreate LA, featuring more than 5,000 fall and winter looks from over 100 fashion brands. MuseSelect also introduced Muse 1000, a program designed to help 1,000 creators build fashion labels of their own.
The debut follows MuseSelect's beta launch earlier this year and comes as social commerce continues to reshape how consumers discover and buy products. U.S. social commerce sales are projected to pass $100 billion this year, according to eMarketer, while creator revenue is expected to grow 16.2% to $20.6 billion. More than half of U.S. adults, 58%, have bought something because a creator endorsed it.
Affiliate marketing accounts for 8.2% of what U.S. creators earn, compared with 59% from sponsored content, according to eMarketer. Under both arrangements, the brand typically retains the customer relationship and the margin. MuseSelect is built to give creators a larger economic stake in the products and brands they help bring to market.
"Creators have become one of the most powerful forces shaping what consumers discover and buy, while the infrastructure required to build a fashion business remains difficult to access," said Ricky Xie, CEO, MuseSelect. "MuseSelect connects creators directly with products, manufacturers and commerce infrastructure, giving them a way to test ideas with their communities, build demand and ultimately create brands they can own. With Muse 1000, we want to help create a new generation of fashion companies built around creator taste, audience trust and ownership."
Commissions can reach 25%, approximately double the prevailing affiliate rates in fashion. MuseSelect offers a 15% base commission, with creators able to earn an additional 5%-10% tied to savings generated by eliminating traditional sample shipping and photography costs.
From Affiliate Sales to Creator-Owned Labels
MuseSelect gives creators multiple ways to participate, from affiliate selling to developing products and building a brand of their own. The platform connects creators with both cross-border and U.S. supply, including overseas manufacturers, emerging brands and domestic suppliers.
- Sell. Creators can earn affiliate commissions with no follower minimum and no requirement to purchase samples. Fulfillment is handled through the platform.
- Create. MuseSelect offers AI tools to generate on-model product imagery and other content assets, reducing the need to ship physical samples for every potential collaboration. Creators retain control over what they select, how it is presented and what ultimately gets published.
- Own. Through Museland, MuseSelect's AI-powered product creation tool, creators can choose garment silhouettes, develop original graphics and turn those ideas into products sold through MuseTopia, the company's consumer marketplace. Creators earn commissions plus an ongoing 3% royalty on designs they originate.
- Store. Each creator gets a storefront where their selections, content and audience activity can accumulate over time, providing a foundation for developing a larger brand.
Creator Selection Helps Validate Demand
MuseSelect's model is designed to give creators and their communities a role earlier in the product cycle. Creators can test styles with their audiences and use community pre-sales to validate interest before production scales.
That feedback gives brands and suppliers an earlier signal about which products resonate, helping them make more informed production decisions and reduce exposure to excess inventory. The model also shortens the path between product selection and manufacturing by connecting creators more directly with the suppliers producing the goods.
On the Floor at CoCreate LA
The Creator Fashion Market spans 2,000 square meters at the Los Angeles Convention Center over two days. Creators move through guided 120-minute sessions in small groups, beginning with a brand briefing and product selection before moving into fittings, content creation and final edit confirmation.
Two zones demonstrate the production chain. Make Your Product Real follows an AI-generated pattern through to a finished garment. Make Your Brand Real shows how MuseSelect can assemble a first storefront draft from a creator's selections and audience profile by MUSE AI Agent.
"What I love most is that Museland lets you visualize your ideas with AI," said Tiko Kvinikadze, a fashion creator on the platform.
Early Results
About 10,000 creators have registered with MuseSelect over the past two months. In a U.S. pilot, 10 creator storefronts generated close to $300,000 over three months. One of the top creators has generated over $100,000 in sales.
Muse 1000 will open in waves, with the first group selected by invitation. The company expects the program to support the launch of 1,000 creator-owned labels within three years.
"The next generation of commerce will be shaped by a much closer connection between product creation, audience demand and supply," said Ricky Xie, CEO, MuseSelect. "MuseSelect brings that entrepreneurial energy closer to manufacturers and commerce infrastructure, while giving suppliers a clearer signal about what consumers want. That combination can help creators build businesses of their own and give the industry a more responsive way to bring new products to market."
