PLANO, Texas and ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- FourthWall Media™, the media company driving a creative revolution in interactive TV, and CSG Systems International, Inc. (Nasdaq :CSGS ), a leading provider of customer interaction management and billing solutions, announced today an agreement to provide cable operators an application that will allow subscribers to view and pay their cable bills on TV. This application will work on deployed EBIF platforms.
Bill Pay on TV is an EBIF application that allows subscribers to view and pay the cable bill right from the television screen. Viewers can see their current cable bill and make payments using simple, easy-to-follow prompts with their regular remote control.
Interactive banner advertisements from programmers or others can be included in the application. An ad for an upcoming program can have a video on demand feature that allows the customer to watch the long-form promo and preview the programming.
In addition, cable operators will have the ability to send targeted payment messages to subscribers. This feature allows for an operator-written message to appear on screen regardless of channel in designated homes. The message can provide directions on how to make a payment using the cable remote or remind the customer they are not current on their payments.
"The combination of CSG and FourthWall Media will enable cable operators to continue to offer consumers more convenience in an innovative, interactive way," said Chad Dunavant, executive director of product strategy, CSG Systems. "This solution can reduce costs and late payments for the cable operator while making it easy for consumers to transact business on their terms. We look forward to working with our customers and partners to create additional innovative solutions that leverage the power of transactional data to enable personalized, real-time customer interaction."
"This service is another core feature of the interactive ecosystem that will bring cable operators cost savings and new revenue," said Patrick Peters, EVP and GM Programming at FourthWall Media. "In the coming months we will include additional features, most notably the ability to upgrade service instantly with your remote. We're very excited to add CSG to our growing group of partners with key, foundational offerings that deliver innovations to the cable industry."
