Cub Cadet's New XT Enduro Series™ Lawn Tractors Honored For First-Of-Its-Kind Bluetooth App

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cub Cadet's new XT Enduro Series of lawn tractors is being celebrated as one of the best Bluetooth-enabled products available during the Bluetooth Breakthrough Awards media event at the Consumer Electronics Show. The XT Enduro Series was named as a finalist in the international awards competition for its ability to provide owners real-time monitoring and maintenance notifications through the lawn care industry's first Bluetooth app, Cub Connect™.

Cub Cadet introduced the XT Enduro Series at its National Dealer Convention in September 2014. This next generation of Cub Cadet lawn and garden tractors establishes a new standard in strength and comfort. By combining benefits like the strongest warranty in the industry with comfort and convenience features like the industry's first Bluetooth maintenance monitoring system, the XT Enduro Series provides owners with the ultimate lawn tractor experience.

"Regular maintenance isn't top-of-mind for most riding mower owners. They want the process to be easy and convenient," notes Emily Sword, director of brand marketing for Cub Cadet. "With Cub Connect, you don't have to rely on mental reminders - your tractor communicates directly with your smartphone when maintenance is needed and makes it easy to get it done and off your mind."

Bluetooth takes the guesswork out of maintenance by allowing the lawn tractor to alert its owners about needed oil changes, blade maintenance, air filter replacements and other routine maintenance. The app's automated maintenance dashboard helps owners keep their machine running at peak performance while also tracking total running hours over the lifetime of the tractor. The app also keeps a record of all tasks performed in a maintenance log, which can be printed or e-mailed to a servicing dealer.

In addition, the app also provides owners with quick access to product registration, do-it-yourself maintenance instructions, mobile-optimized operator's manual, click-to-call customer service, locations of nearby service centers and easy online purchase of maintenance parts.

The Cub Connect app currently connects to select Bluetooth enabled Cub Cadet XT Enduro Series mowers including:
XT1 LT 54 Lawn Tractor
XT1 LT54 Fabricated Lawn Tractor
XT1 GT 50 Garden Tractor
XT2 GX 54 Fabricated Garden Tractor

Cub Connect also connects to the following Bluetooth enabled Cub Cadet Zero Turn riding mowers:

RZT S 54 Fabricated Zero Turn Riding Mower
RZT L 46 Fabricated Zero Turn Riding Mower

The Bluetooth Breakthrough Awards is the official awards program held by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), and celebrates the best of Bluetooth technology based on criteria like uniqueness of idea and ease of use. The XT Enduro Series has been recognized alongside products from companies such as Microsoft and Proctor and Gamble as finalists. The overall winner will be announced from the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on March 1, 2015, in Barcelona, Spain.
