Curaspan and Midas+ partner with Providence Health & Services and Swedish Health Services hospitals in Washington

NEWTON, Mass., Feb. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Curaspan Health Group, the leading provider of patient-transition solutions, announced today that it will partner with Providence Health & Services and Swedish Health Services to implement its care transition and utilization review solutions at seven Seattle and Spokane-area hospitals. Providence Health & Services is a not-for-profit health system that provides health and educational services across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. In partnering with Curaspan, Providence will replace an existing discharge-management solution at five Swedish Health Services locations.

Along with Curaspan, Providence will also implement Midas+ Care Management for case management. Midas+, a Xerox Company, and Curaspan partner to provide a seamless, real-time exchange of data between systems. The integrated solution supports Providence's initiatives to improve quality across the communities that the seven hospitals serve. Midas+ and Curaspan will be deployed at Swedish Health Services in Seattle, as well as Providence Holy Family Hospital and Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, both in Spokane, which will account for 916 beds in the Providence Health & Services system.  Curaspan's clinical and transition-of-care expertise will assist the partnership with Providence Health & Services.
