Cyber Security Training Team Closes a $500,000 Seed Round

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Living Security, a company dedicated to cyber security awareness and training, is excited to announce they closed a $500,000 seed round investment from leading venture capital firms and angel investors.

Living Security is using the financing for product development, go-to-market execution and team expansion.

The two lead institutional investors of Living Security include Active Capital and Cathexis Ventures. A Pipeline Angels investment was contributed to their funding, as well.

Active Capital is a venture firm with a focus on leading seed rounds for founder led, B2B SaaS companies. Based in San Antonio, Active Capital is led by former Rackspace founders and executives who helped build Rackspace into a multi-billion dollar enterprise. 

Based in Houston and Boston, Cathexis is a private investment firm that targets a variety of industries in public and private markets. Cathexis exclusively invests their own capital, targeting early-stage investments in the $100,000-$200,000 range, which allows them to move quickly and maintain a long horizon.

Pipeline Angels creates capital for women and non-binary femme social entrepreneurs with 40 locations in the U.S. After launching in April 2011, over 300 members have graduated from the Angel Investing Bootcamp and have invested more than $5 million in over 50 companies.
