Cyberhero League and Ryan's Well Foundation partner in support of SDG 6

NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Evolutionary Guidance Media R&D, Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership between Cyberhero League and Ryan's Well Foundation, in support of United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 6, Clean Water and Sanitation.

To kick off the partnership, Cyberhero League is hosting a fundraiser celebrating 20 years since Ryan went down this path of fund-raising. "The Ryan's Well School Challenge is a twist on the "a-thon" genre. We wanted to blend old-school fundraising with tech," says Dr. Klisanin, "and make the process as easy as possible so kids can navigate the experience without relying upon already overworked teachers."

Kids collect pledges for 12 Medallions. Earning all 12 Medallions results in a special edition, Ryan's Well Adventure Badge, and an invitation to join the members-only Cyberhero League. Funds raised for the 20^th Anniversary School Challenge will be used for multiple projects that will take place in Northern Uganda, In Lira District, Amach Sub-County. The projects will involve extensive WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene training) to students at 9 schools, one deep well at one of the schools, rehabilitation of a well at another school, and building two 5 stance latrines at two other schools. The total project cost will be $28,417.96 USD ($36,943.75 CAD). The fundraiser begins October 16, 2018 and will run through May 2019.
