Dallas Attorney Trey Branham Named to 2014 Texas Super Lawyers List

DALLAS, Sept. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas attorney Charles W. "Trey" Branham III, founder of Branham Law LLP, has been named to the 2014 Texas Super Lawyers list, which recognizes the top attorneys in the state based on their work in various areas of law.

This marks the third time Mr. Branham has earned selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list. He previously was named to the companion list of Texas Rising Stars four years in a row beginning in 2007.

Mr. Branham's 2014 successes include a consumer class-action settlement against Dakota Growers for a cash payment of $7.92 million, including $2.9 million in attorneys' fees; a judgment of more than $800,000 on behalf of a class of employees in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas; and a $325,000 judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list is based on a patented process of peer nominations, evaluation and third-party research. The final step in the selection process is an evaluation by a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys who review each candidate's qualifications. The resulting list represents no more than 5 percent of all attorneys in the state.

In his practice at Branham Law, Mr. Branham represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial, employment and personal injury cases. He is a cum laude graduate of the South Carolina School of Law, and he previously clerked for the Hon. Joe Kendall, then a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Following his clerkship, Mr. Branham began his legal career at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP before moving to a national trial boutique where he handled litigation in more than 40 cases.
