Dallas Regional Chamber Annual Meeting: Outlook for 2011 to be Discussed; First Annual Lifetime Achievement Award to Be Presented
DALLAS, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, January 26th, The Dallas Regional Chamber's 2011 Annual Meeting will gather the business leadership of the region to review the accomplishments of 2010 and look ahead to the goals and initiatives for the coming years. The event will be held from noon – 1:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Hotel (1717 N. Akard Street, Dallas) in the Regency Ballroom.
Speakers will include Douglas D. Hawthorne, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer, Texas Health Resources, this year's presenting sponsor; David R. Corrigan, President & CEO, Corrigan Investments, Inc. and outgoing 2010 Chairman of the Board; W. Mike Baggett, Chairman Emeritus, Winstead PC, and incoming 2011 Chairman of the Board and Ambassador James C. Oberwetter, President of the Dallas Regional Chamber. The Chairman's Award, in recognition of superlative service by a Chamber volunteer who has guided the organization in setting priorities and seeking future opportunities for the region, will be presented during the luncheon program.
A special presentation of the very first Lifetime Achievement ATHENA Award will honor Ebby Halliday and her decades of extraordinary work and tireless devotion to the business community and region. The presentation of the ATHENA sculpture and pin will take place during the VIP reception from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. with a special recognition of Ebby Halliday to take place during the luncheon program from noon – 1:00 p.m.
