Mr. Derby has more than 15 years experience in the mortgage backed securities market, primarily covering depository institutions. He will be based in Amherst's Chicago office.

Mr. Derby joins Amherst from Raymond James and Associates, where he was a Vice President focused on institutional fixed income sales, primarily with agency and non-agency mortgage backed securities. He was formerly at RBS Greenwich Capital for eight years and prior to that spent four years at Mercantile Bank. Mr. Derby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
