SAINT-CLOUD, France, June 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --
- Dassault Falcon Team to Provide on-site Support During the 2010 World Cup
Dassault Falcon is providing on-site support to Falcon operators during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, which runs from June 11-July 11, 2010. Dassault Falcon has a strong and growing fleet of aircraft in South Africa and also has aircraft positioned in neighbouring countries. The company anticipates increased demand for support as operators ferry football fans and officials in and out of the country.
The Falcon support team will be led by Customer Service Manager, Jean-Pierre Agnelot, who will be based at South Africa's Lanseria Airport in Johannesburg for the month-long tournament. He will be supported by two Authorized Service Centers and Spare Parts Distribution Center.
Jacques Chauvet, Senior VP, Worldwide Customer Service for Dassault Falcon, comments: "Jean-Pierre will be based at Lanseria Airport but will be able to provide any necessary troubleshooting assistance anywhere in the region. Our two local Authorized Service Centers - Execujet South Africa and Bhakari Aviation Services - both located at Lanseria Airport, are also preparing to dispatch support from their facilities during the World Cup."
The Johannesburg/Lanseria Spare Parts Distribution Center ensures the ability to dispatch parts as needed and thus minimize any delays in return to service. "We have significantly expanded our inventory at the facility with US $ 1million worth of parts to support Falcon activity," adds Jean Kayanakis, VP, Worldwide Spares, Dassault Falcon.
Dassault Falcon is anticipating an intense period of aircraft movements during the tournament, as Falcons transit into the region during the world's biggest sporting event. "From the information we have, we know that Falcon operators are planning to travel to South Africa for the World Cup," says Guillaume Landrivon, Director, Customer Relations and Field Service at Dassault Aviation. "Most of these operators have used our dedicated program - 'Let Us Know Before You Go' (accessible through our Falcon Customer Portal) which advises us on aircraft movements and helps us anticipate and ensure the provision of any mission-critical support that may be needed."
