Born from a personal need for nutritious, easy-to-digest snacks, the brand is helping rethink what a protein bar can be.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- dasso good, makers of protein bars made with clean, carefully selected ingredients, is expanding its product line while bringing greater attention to the everyday food challenges faced by people living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Founded by siblings Sean and Natasha Dassoff, dasso good was inspired by Sean's personal search for a protein-rich snack that was nutritious and easier to incorporate into his diet following Crohn's disease flare-ups and during times of digestive sensitivity.
In the lead-up to Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Month in December, dasso good will expand its product lineup with the launch of a new flavor and a variety pack, adding to its existing Chocolate Chip and Cinnamon Crunch offerings. The growing lineup reflects the brand's commitment to providing convenient, protein-rich snack options while highlighting the importance of digestibility for people navigating digestive health challenges.
"I struggled to find a protein bar that worked for me following Crohn's disease flare-ups," said Sean. "With guidance from leading gastroenterologist and registered dietitians, and testing through IBD clinics, we developed a bar with 17 grams of protein and simple ingredients without gluten, sugar alcohols, seed oils or artificial flavors."
For Natasha, dasso good represents more than a new approach to protein bars. "We know firsthand how frustrating it can be to look for foods that fit your needs while managing Crohn's or colitis," said Natasha Dassoff, co-founder of dasso good. "Our goal is to create something people can feel good about reaching for while using our platform to support the IBD community."
dasso good is actively involved with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation and Athletes vs. Crohn's & Colitis, sponsoring events, donating bars and volunteering to support individuals and families living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
This year, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation honored Sean as a hero for his commitment to supporting the IBD community and shining a light on the challenges of living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
