What happened?
Around August 19, 2025, Motility detected unusual activity on specific servers used in its business operations. An investigation was launched, revealing that an unauthorized third party had installed malware, encrypting part of the company's systems. Further findings showed that, before the encryption, the attacker may have accessed files containing personal information.
The compromised data may include full names, mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and driver's license numbers.
This breach has impacted an estimated 766,670 individuals.
