Data Increasing Exponentially But Information Governance Programs Show Slow Progress

In preparation for the Information Governance & eDiscovery Strategy Exchange, taking place 19-21 September in Washington, research by the Legal Exchange Network found information governance to be the number one challenge for strategic in-house Counsel. However, a further survey conducted in partnership with the eDJ Group to uncover the state of information governance (IG) in enterprises today showed slow progress with IG programs.

The report states that whilst a third of respondents have an active IG program within their organization, only a third have IG programs in the planning stages, and the remainder do not have a program at all, or are unsure if they have one.
