DataBank Announces Completion of Newest Kansas City Data Center

Located in Lenexa, KS, KC3 will form the keystone of DataBank's new South Lake Data Center Campus. KC3 is DataBank's third data center location in the region and demonstrates the company's leadership position in the greater Kansas City metro market.  The facility provides redundant power and cooling configurations, diverse network entry points and multiple fiber providers to deliver exceptional network resiliency and uptime. KC3 will also provide connectivity to public cloud on-ramps enabled via Megaport SDN offerings.

In addition, KC3 offers customers direct access to the DataBank FedRAMP-certified CloudPlus® 5, (CP5), platform, an advanced high-performance computing and storage solution which helps enterprises meet increased compliance and security requirements. CP5 allows customers to leverage hybrid cloud capabilities, by combining on premise colocation with secure private infrastructure and public cloud via DataBank's partnership with Megaport.

KC3 brings 25,000 square feet of raised white floor and 3MW of power capacity in Phase I, expandable to 106,350 square feet and a total design capacity of 8MW. KC3 is connected via diverse dark fiber connections to DataBank's KC2 and KC1 facility and 1102 Grand Street, further increasing connectivity and backup options. The addition of KC3 brings the company's total data center count to 15.
