Datacubed Health Names Leaders in Neurology, Genomics, Internal Medicine, Rare Disease and Psychiatry to Science Advisor Panel

BROOKLYN, N.Y., Feb. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Datacubed Health today announced the appointment of its new Science Advisor Panel, consisting of world-renowned scientists and technologists spanning a wide and diverse range of fields.

The Science Advisor Panel includes: a creator of the MIT Media Lab, a former leader of the U.S. Human Genome Project, a former director of the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health, the designer of top-selling video games, a former Chief of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and a neurologist from a leading biotech company.

The Advisor Panel will help clients evaluate new virtual and remote study alternatives to traditional protocol design and advise Datacubed Health on the best practices for clinical outcome assessments, validation of scales and other processes.

Alex "Sandy" Pentland – A pioneer in mobile data collection, Dr. Pentland directs the MIT Connection Science and Human Dynamics labs and previously helped create and direct the MIT Media Lab and the Media Lab Asia in India. Forbes recently described him as one of the "seven most powerful data scientists in the world."

Aristides Patrinos – A leading authority on genomics, structural biology, global environmental changes and nuclear medicine, Dr. Patrinos is formerly a leader of the U.S. Human Genome Project and a senior official in the U.S. Department of Energy. He is currently Chief Scientist, Director of Research and Chair of the Science Advisory Board at Novim.

Steven E. Hyman – A neuroscientist and psychiatrist, Dr. Hyman is the director of the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard University and Harvard Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology. A former provost of Harvard University, the institution's chief academic officer, Dr. Hyman served as director of The National Institute of Mental Health from 1996 to 2001.

Nicholas Fortugno – An American game designer and educator, Mr. Fortugno is the Chief Creative Officer of Playmatics LLC, a New York City-based game development studio. He designed Diner Dash, a top-selling causal game developed by Gamelab, and the award-winning game Ayiti: The Cost of Life. Since 2002, he has taught the Game Design and Interactive Narrative program at Columbia and SVA (School of Visual Arts).  

Dennis Ausiello – A nationally recognized leader in academic and internal medicine, Dr. Ausiello is the Jackson Distinguished Professor of Clinical Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He was formerly Chief of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.

David H. Margolin – Dr. Margolin, a neurologist, is Senior Vice President of Clinical and Translational Medicine at Cerevance, Inc., a drug discovery and development company focused on brain diseases. He previously served in leadership roles at Sanofi-Genzyme where he designed and led translational medicine across various neurologic and rare disease indications. Dr. Margolin also served on the faculty in neurology at Harvard Medical School for 15 years.
