David C. Naccarati Joins Gold Canyon Mining and Construction Board
Former President of Phelps Dodge Mining Company joins Board of Growing Mining Contractor
RENO, Nev., Dec. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- David C. Naccarati, former President of Phelps Dodge Mining Company, has joined the Board of Gold Canyon Mining and Construction, LLC. David Naccarati brings a wealth of experience to Gold Canyon from his more than three decades of experience in mining. Mr. Naccarati commented, "I'm very excited to have the opportunity to work with the team at Gold Canyon, they've already done some remarkable work and I'm looking forward to helping them continue to expand their business."
While at Phelps Dodge, Mr. Naccarati led the operations of all of Phelps Dodge's copper mines worldwide, an operation that employed 11,000 people and produced 2.4 billion pounds of copper annually. He has also directly operated five mines where he led significant technical and operational transformations. Mr. Naccarati is currently on the Board of Cupric Canyon Capital and an adjunct professor in the Department of Mining and Geological Engineering at the University of Arizona.
