BELLEVUE, Wash., July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Puget Sound Bank (OTCBB: PUGB) has announced that David V. Huguenin has joined the Bank as senior vice president, relationship manager. Mr. Huguenin joined the Bank upon Puget Sound Bank's acquisition of Core Business Bank.

"The board and I are pleased to welcome Dave to the Puget Sound Bank team," said Jim Mitchell, chief executive officer and president, "He brings a complementary breadth of experience and influential network to the Bank – both critical as we seek to grow our customer base and expand our geographic reach."

Mr. Huguenin has over 40 years of executive banking experience at both community banks and large regional banks, specializing in commercial banking for small- and medium size-businesses. "We look forward to Dave helping leverage our higher lending limits resulting from the acquisition," said Mr. Mitchell. "His addition is instrumental in our strategic planning to enhance organic growth while preserving our commitment to providing our award-winning customer experience."

Also joining Puget Sound Bank from Core Business Bank are Garret Rogers, vice president relationship manager; and Aleecia Poulsen, customer service officer. "We're pleased to have both Garret and Aleecia join us," added Mr. Mitchell, "to help ensure the customer transition is as seamless as possible."

Puget Sound Bank completed its acquisition of Core Business Bank on June 14, 2013. In addition to Mr. Rogers and Ms. Poulsen, formerly of Core Business Bank, Puget Sound Bank brought over other staff from Core Business Bank to create an uninterrupted service experience for its new customers. Like Core Business Bank, Puget Sound Bank uses Jack Henry & Associates for its banking platform, and the Bank anticipates a smooth transition for its new customers.
