With over twelve years of experience in his current position and nineteen years of experience in the field of Psychiatry, Dr. Dawit Zemichael is a well sought after medical professional. Utilizing the latest advancements in the industry, Dr. Zemichael has attained extensive expertise in the areas of Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. A distinguished scholar and author of several published works, early in his career, Dr. Zemichael attained his Medical Degree from the American University of the Caribbean. Thereafter, Dr. Zemichael would then go on to obtain his Master of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from Howard University. Upon completing both internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Franklin Square Hospital, Dr. Zemichael completed an additional residency in Psychiatry at East Tennessee State University.
To further enhance his professional development, Dr. Zemichael is an esteemed member of several organizations including the Tennessee Psychiatric Association, Southern Medical Association, and International Association of Healthcare Practitioners.
Charitable to various organizations, Dr. Zemichael is an avid supporter of providing both Medical and Humanitarian Missions to Eritrea as Psychiatrist, Educator, and Contributor. In addition, Dr. Zemichael volunteers with the oversight-Medication Program at the St Mary's Neuropsychiatric Hospital.
Fluent in Arabic, English, Eritrean, Ethiopian, and Italian, Dr. Zemichael is certified by the Florida Board of Medicine, Tennessee Board of Medical Examiner, Virginia Board of Medicine and FLEX + USMLE.
