Debbie's Dream Foundation, Korean Gastric Cancer Association, and National Cancer Center Korea Partner to Bring East and West Together for Gastric Cancer Patient Education Symposium

Global event in Seoul will connect patients with gastric cancer experts from Korea, Japan, China, and the United States and share international perspectives across the patient journey.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF), the Korean Gastric Cancer Association (KGCA), and National Cancer Center Korea (NCC) will host the DDF-KGCA-NCC East Meets West in Gastric Cancer: An International Educational Symposium for Patients on October 31, 2026, at Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.

The symposium will bring together gastric cancer experts, patients, and advocates from Asia and the United States, with participation by the International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA), Japanese Gastric Cancer Association (JGCA), and Chinese Gastric Cancer Association (CGCA).

Although patients around the world face the same disease, their journey from detection through treatment can look very different depending on where they live. The symposium will compare the patient journey across East and West, exploring how earlier detection in Korea and Japan can expand treatment options and how Western approaches to patient education and advocacy can help patients become more informed and engaged in their care.
