Healthy Meal Manufacturer Initiates Wellness Campaign In Miami
HOLLYWOOD, Fla., March 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- DeliverLean CEO Scott Harris is bringing his company's health and wellness mission to the City of Miami in partnership with Mayor Francis Suarez. The Miami Moves Healthiest City Campaign, which Harris presented to Mayor Suarez, was launched during Suarez's annual "State of the City" address last month.

This program aims to raise Miami's ranking from 38 into the top 20, by reaching the most underserved populations, the elderly, homeless, food-insecure youth and first responders. Lack of nutrition causes a negative domino effect including increased medical costs, return hospital stays and poor performance in schools. This campaign will help to eradicate these issues by providing nutritious meals from DeliverLean, educating these vulnerable groups about making healthy choices, emphasizing buying local and providing healthcare support and tracking from local hospitals.
Harris has seen his meal delivery service impact people's lives and health outcomes on a bigger scale yearly, culminating in 2020 with the launch of several health-related endeavors, including the Miami Moves Healthiest City Campaign and DeliverLean CARE, which, in partnership with Humana and CarePlus Health Plans, provides medically-tailored meals to healthcare members at no additional cost.
