Deloitte Renews Support Of City Year, Becomes Its "National Strategy And Innovation Sponsor"

BOSTON, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- City Year and Deloitte have announced that Deloitte is renewing its support as City Year's "National Strategy and Innovation Sponsor" for the next year, with a total investment of more than $1.1 million in cash and pro-bono consulting services. Since 2001, Deloitte has invested $8.1 million in cash and pro-bono consulting services in City Year.

In 27 cities across the country and two affiliates abroad, City Year AmeriCorps members serve full-time in schools providing students with tutoring and in-class support, extended day programs, as well as organizing school-wide initiatives to increase academic achievement and student engagement. As City Year has evolved into an education organization, Deloitte's consulting work has been a driving force supporting the development of City Year's long-term impact strategy, strategic roadmap, implementation plans, and staffing structures.
