
Delta Dental of Tennessee Awards 45 Grants in Honor of 45th Anniversary
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Dental of Tennessee (Delta Dental) announced the recipients of its "45 years. 45 grants." community grant program. In celebration of the company's 45th anniversary, 45 organizations were awarded grants ranging from $500-$1,500 each to support oral health and children's education initiatives.
"As Delta Dental of Tennessee celebrates 45 years of success, we are privileged to give back to the community that has supported us," said Dr. Phil Wenk, president and CEO of Delta Dental. Tennessee non-profit organizations were invited to apply for a grant to support oral health and/or children's education initiatives in Tennessee. Delta Dental evaluated each application individually and selected organizations based on community involvement, the constituencies served, the services it offers, its accountability and fundraising practices, and the level of local community support it attracts.
Since 1965, when the Tennessee General Assembly passed legislation enabling its creation, Delta Dental of Tennessee has been committed to advancing and promoting the improvement of oral health in Tennessee.
