Delta Dental of Tennessee Celebrates 45 Years With 45 Grants

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Since 1965 when the Tennessee General Assembly passed legislation enabling its creation, Delta Dental of Tennessee (Delta Dental) has been committed to advancing and promoting the improvement of oral health in Tennessee. To celebrate its 45th anniversary, Delta Dental is launching “45 years. 45 grants.” a community grant program to provide support for oral health and children’s initiatives.

Not-for-profit organizations can apply for one of 45 grants offered to support oral health and/or children’s education initiatives in Tennessee. Grant awards will range from $500 up to $1,500 and applications are available through www.DeltaDentalTn.com/45grants. All applications must be submitted by June 1, 2010, and award notifications will be distributed by August 1.

Delta Dental will evaluate each application on its own merits. In awarding grants, Delta Dental will consider the programs in which an applicant organization is engaged, the constituencies it serves, the services it offers, its accountability and fundraising practices, and the level of local community support it attracts.
