MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Aug. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Grant D'Entremont, formerly the General Manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in south Austin, recently moved to the Residence Inn by Marriott in north Austin to assume the General Manager duties there. An 88-room hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott is managed by Merrillville, Indiana based White Lodging Services.
A native Texan, D'Entremont got his start in the hospitality industry in 2002 when he worked at the Doubletree hotel in Austin as a Valet Supervisor. Steadily moving up the corporate ladder and to various properties, D'Entremont joined White Lodging in 2004 as a Guest Services Representative at the Marriott near the Austin Airport.
"Grant has proven to be a very solid employee, and we are fortunate to have him at White Lodging," said Regional Vice President Kevin Grandin. Grandin continued by expressing his belief that D'Entremont will be a success in his new position at the Residence Inn.
In his seven years with White Lodging, and in addition to his first position, D'Entremont has served as the Assistant Front Office Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Austin Central, as the Front Office Manager at the Residence Inn by Marriott Austin South, and as the Front Office Manager and then Operations Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Airport. D'Entremont's first opportunity as a General Manager came in 2010 at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. During his time there he improved the property's top line by more than $110,000.
