Derive Systems Unveils New Bully Dog Products, Showcases Efficiency Solution, and Partners with Gas Monkey Garage at SEMA Show
SANFORD, Fla., Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Derive Systems, a leading automotive technology company, announced today that its SCT™ brand is partnering with the world-famous Gas Monkey Garage to showcase their unique 3.5 EcoBoost-swapped 1972 DeTomaso Pantera at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Built by Gas Monkey Garage & master mechanic Aaron Kaufman, and tuned by SCT Custom Tuning & Revolution Automotive, the EcoBoost Pantera puts down a clean 475 ft. lbs of torque and 440 horsepower to the ground. "We partnered with SCT because we wanted to build a car that would perform and be a heck of a lot of fun to drive," said Kaufman. "It's thanks to the custom-tuning capabilities of SCT that we were able to bring the V6 power plant to its utmost potential in the world's first EcoBoost-swapped Pantera – and the thing runs and drives great."
Also on display at SEMA will be products from Derive's Bully Dog brand, including a range of software and tools for enthusiasts and racers that enable greater control over the performance and individuality of their ride. Products on display will include the BDX Performance Programmer, as well as Bully Dog's brand new Performance DPF and the GTX Watchdog products.
Bully Dog's BDX hand-held performance tuner utilizes cloud-based tune delivery over built-in WiFi and allows drivers to adjust powertrain performance to deliver more horsepower and torque when it's needed most. The latest Performance DPF is an easy to install stock replacement that offers increased airflow and reduced exhaust gas temperatures for greater efficiency and performance. And the new GTX Watchdog is a Cummins diesel-focused magnetic-mounted, capacitive touchscreen monitor that monitors and data-logs critical engine functions of the vehicle, to better inform drivers how their vehicle is performing.
