Designing the Customer Experience with Studio Science
As participants of Design Indy Month, Studio Science presented a forum on Customer Experience Design featuring leaders from Anthem Inc, Roche, and Simon Property Group.
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Studio Science, Indianapolis' leading design and innovation firm, hosted its first thought leadership discussion on design thinking and its application to the customer experience.
The People-Powered Innovation event, hosted by Studio Science, was held on Tuesday night at The Bureau in Fletcher Place as part of Design Indy Month featuring keynote speaker Natalie Schneider from Anthem Inc. Supported by the Mayor of Indianapolis, Design Indy Month is a grassroots initiative aiming to uncover the power of design in business.
"Studio Science as a business loved the fact that we were able to provide unique access to such a high caliber group of experts," said Chris Belli, Director of Business Development at Studio Science.
In addition to Natalie Schneider who serves as Vice President of Consumer Experience at Anthem Inc., a panel of marketing, design, and innovation experts from Indianapolis' Fortune 500 companies discussed—with moderation from Studio Science Design Director Christopher Vice—how customer experience design is driving business innovation. Panelists included Marco De Polo, Head of Portfolio Strategy & Global Market Insights at Roche Diabetes Care, Inc. as well as Patrick Flanagan, Vice President of Digital Marketing & Strategy at Simon Property Group.
"As design consultants, we often see organizations struggle to bring a customer experience focus to their work. Conversations like this help others in the industry see how leading brands are making it happen," said Nathan Sinsabaugh, President of Studio Science.
"It was clear that the people in attendance were present to take away key insights and practices to apply to their own businesses," added Sinsabaugh.
Customer experience design has moved beyond simply being a buzzword, and organizations, both large and small, are now realizing just how important it has become. The design of services is shaping better experiences for consumers, resulting in better outcomes for businesses.
"What was most pleasing was the depth of the content, which had people scrambling to keep up with their note taking, highlighting once again how important design-led thinking is when planning for customer experiences," concluded Sinsabaugh.
