Destination Maternity Corporation Celebrates the 3rd Annual Fashion's Night Out with In-Store Event Hosted by Laila Ali

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 8, 2011, over 100 cities nationwide will participate in Fashion's Night Out (FNO), a global initiative created by American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows, and musical performances.

Destination Maternity has participated in Fashion's Night Out since its inception, attracting hundreds of expectant moms and guests to celebrate pregnancy and motherhood, and enjoy an evening of shopping and pampering.   In 2010, Destination Maternity partnered with supermom and supermodel Heidi Klum, who mingled with guests and showcased her latest maternity fashion collections Loved and Lavish, which are carried exclusively at Motherhood Maternity® and A Pea in the Pod® respectively.

This year, athlete and champion of health and beauty, Laila Ali, a new mom herself, will host Destination Maternity's Fashion's Night Out celebration from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the company's flagship store, located at 28 East 57th Street at Madison Avenue. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Laila, learn about her personal style, and get tips on fashion, health, and beauty.  

Celebrity prenatal yoga instructor Latham Thomas will also be on hand to discuss the importance of exercise during pregnancy.  Mama Mio, Edamame® Spa, and MD Moms' representatives will offer hand and chair massages as well as skincare product demonstrations. 

To celebrate Fashion's Night Out, Destination Maternity has teamed up with trendsetting Hollywood moms to create uniquely decorated maternity jeans for "Celebrities 4 Maternity Denim," an online auction to benefit the March of Dimes. Destination Maternity has provided celebrity moms Laila Ali, Heidi Klum, Naomi Watts, Jewel, Nicole Sullivan, Diane Farr, Camila Alves, Busy Philipps, and Kaitlin Olson each with a pair of its exclusive designer maternity jeans to embellish.  These one-of-a-kind denim jeans can be viewed and bid on from August 25 to September 22 at www.biddingforgood.com/celebs4maternitydenim and will be on display at Destination Maternity during Fashion's Night Out.  Fashion's Night Out guests will have the opportunity to bid online from the Destination Maternity store that evening as well. This auction is an initiative between Destination Maternity and the March of Dimes to raise awareness about the importance of preventing preterm birth so more babies can get a healthy start in life. Bidding will begin at $300 per pair of jeans.  All proceeds will support the March of Dimes.
