MDRT's updated site is mobile-first, easy-to-use, and personalized for each of its 42,000 professional members
CHICAGO, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading software development firm Devbridge Group announced today the successful execution of a website redesign for Million Dollar Round Table, a premier global association of financial professionals. Devbridge Group improved a number of MDRT's internal membership processes by customizing and leveraging BetterCMS, an Open Source Content Management System.
For this project, Devbridge Group redesigned the MDRT.org site and created its Resource Zone site with a sleeker, more modern aesthetic and a highly intuitive user interface. The transformed sites are visually dynamic and easy-to-navigate, offering MDRT's 42,000 members a more compelling digital experience on desktops, tablets, and smartphones. In addition, Devbridge Group set up specific user roles and permissions based on membership levels, providing MDRT the control over various content streams. Now, with the single sign-on functionality, members of MDRT can sign on seamlessly to MDRT.org and MDRT Resource Zone.
"One of the biggest challenges, I think, is the single sign-on we needed," said Wayne Schmeiser, Director of Emerging Media at MDRT. "We have several websites across different platforms made by different developers and we were looking for a way to easily transfer users from one site to another. Devbridge took a lot of time on our behalf looking for the perfect solution that would be able to address those needs. And that was really important to us and the member experience."
The improved "Members Only" section enables members to view all the necessary MDRT information for their specific member level. They can also keep track of and manage their monthly and yearly progress goals to see where they will land in the upcoming membership year. Furthermore, members can access all the resources they need through the Resource Zone to help them achieve their goals. Resource Zone contains a wealth of videos, audio files, and PDF documents that members can comment on, share, like/dislike, mark as favorites, and save for later reference.
MDRT brings together financial professionals from over 470 companies across 71 nations to network on best business practices within the financial and life insurance industries. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services business, which created the need for a professional, personalized online presence, which reflected that standard. The solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud and is developed around Responsive Design. The redesign includes Single Sign On between four MDRT sites and Member Profile pages that are specific to each member.
