Diamond Raises $2 million+ to Revolutionize Personal Data Management

People today manage more data than ever before. From files to photos and emails to spreadsheets, a single person may have tens of thousands of items spread out over a half-dozen or more cloud-based storage systems. While it's amazing that it's possible to have all of this data weightlessly stored online, increased fragmentation has become a painful side effect. For those whose work is web-centric, is tech-heavy, or who are mobile, this fragmentation isn't just annoying. For them, it can be crippling.

Sticking to a single cloud service simply isn't feasible for the vast majority of people and when you really need to find something quickly, searching through all the possible places it could be is frustrating and inefficient. Investor Bill Malloy, Founding General Partner of Sway Ventures, adds that "the proliferation of data is de facto. As humans, either within enterprises or households, we are creating more data, documents, and content than we can possibly process. The answer has been largely to just throw more storage at the problem, so as data has increased, so have the number of cloud storage tools. Diamond is solving this with software that is distinctly human-focused, personal, and trusted. Pierre and the team are building the software to tackle the inefficiencies inherent in managing work, and we're excited to be backing them."
