'Diamonds are Forever' with David Morris & James Bond at The Barbican's 'Designing 007 - Fifty Years of Bond Style' Summer Exhibition

1962 was the inception year of David Morris, the esteemed London Jeweller who quickly gained a high-profile following; across town, Eon Productions introduced James Bond the fictional, suave British Secret Service agent to the world for the first time.  In 1971 the relationship between these two iconic brands was borne out of David Morris' friendships with his client Roger Moore and Maurice Binder, the famous American, title designer who worked on 14 James Bond films. It began a tradition of David Morris jewels being featured in several Bond instalments. Today,  after decades of their symbolic relationship 'dazzling' audiences globally,  David Morris are proud to announce the installation of their special archive pieces at the 'Designing 007' Barbican exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise, from 1962's DR NO to this year's SKYFALL.

Amongst over 400 works comprising the Designing 007 - Fifty Years of Bond Style exhibition, David Morris were the only jeweller to be asked to share their historical association with the longest continually-running and second-highest grossing film franchise to date. Their captivating creations appeared in Diamonds are Forever (1971), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) The World is not Enough (1999) and the Diamond 'Bond' Scoop necklace in particular was a roaring visual-turned-commercial success, after Teri Hatcher was spotted in the film, wearing the unique piece with over 25 carats of white diamonds.   David Morris were inundated with comments and enquires about the necklace, causing it to be manufactured in different sizes and sold commercially, retailing at £140,000.
