Dickstein Shapiro Bolsters Public Policy & Political Law Practice with Addition of Two Seasoned Hill Advisors
WASHINGTON, Sept. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dickstein Shapiro LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of David Thompson and Carrie-Lee Early who join the firm's Public Policy & Political Law Practice. Both bring extensive experience on Capitol Hill, David from his time as Assistant to the Speaker of the House and more recently as a Senior Vice President with the Capitol Hill Consulting Group, and Carrie-Lee from the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and the Federal Communications Commission.

Most recently, David Thompson served as Senior Vice President of Capitol Hill Consulting Group, where he represented clients on issues related to appropriations, energy, health care, high-technology, and financial services. Prior to joining Capitol Hill Consulting Group, Mr. Thompson served as a longtime aide to former House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL), where he started working in 1993. He most recently served as Assistant to the Speaker for Policy, focusing on agriculture, energy, environment, judiciary, and natural resource issues. Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.
Carrie-Lee Early has worked in the political arena for almost 20 years. Most recently, Ms. Early worked as an attorney for the Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, where she conducted research, legal analysis, investigation, and hearing preparation. From 2006-2013, she served in several roles at the Federal Communications Commission, culminating in her position as Branch Chief for the agency's International Bureau. In that capacity, she supervised attorneys, economists, and telecom experts engaged in international telecom regulation and marketplace development. She holds a law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
