DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Alpha, an investment firm specializing in mission-critical digital infrastructure, today announced a significant strategic investment in Sprocket Networks, LLC, a premier provider of fiber infrastructure. The infusion of capital is earmarked for a large-scale expansion of Sprocket's fiber network, creating a robust, high-performance digital backbone designed to serve the rapidly growing demands of the entire North Texas region.

This investment addresses the critical need for foundational digital infrastructure capable of supporting the area's thriving technology sector, including data centers, cloud service providers, and advanced enterprises that depend on reliable, scalable connectivity. By building a new layer of mission-critical fiber, the partnership will strengthen the region's position as a leading hub for digital innovation and commerce.

The partnership's initial focus will be the Fort Worth Fiber Project which is an approximately 300-mile fiber backbone that is already under construction with a significant anchor tenant already in place.  The network will provide multi-terabit capacity to support next-generation services for residential, commercial and government services and applications throughout the city of Fort Worth, Texas. 

Beyond this initial anchor project, the expanded network is designed to be a catalyst for widespread digital innovation across North Texas. It will provide essential infrastructure for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) providers to accelerate countywide broadband expansion, enable the widespread deployment of technologies such as fixed and mobile wireless services, and support a host of smart city applications.
