Dimension Data Americas Appoints Mark Slaga As Chief Executive Officer

NEW YORK, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dimension Data, the $5.8 billion global ICT solutions and services provider, today announced that Mark Slaga has been appointed CEO of Dimension Data Americas. He will succeed the current CEO, Jere Brown, who retires at the end of the year after nearly a decade with the organization. Throughout the past 13 years, Slaga has held various leadership roles with Dimension Data Americas, most recently serving as COO.

As CEO of the Americas, Mark will be responsible for the strategic leadership of Dimension Data in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Chile. Additionally, he will develop, communicate and implement effective growth strategies to triple revenue in the Americas over the next five years. He brings a wide range of operational, business, sales and technical skills to the role. During his tenure as COO, Mark managed all operations across North and South America, including professional services, consulting, managed services, IT outsourcing and vendor alliances. He has also served as SVP of operations, SVP of solutions, CIO and CTO for Dimension Data Americas.

With Slaga's appointment to CEO, Scott Macfee will assume the role of COO and oversee Dimension Data's operations across North and South America. An integral member of the Americas executive team, Scott has served on the Americas operating committee for the past three years.

Since joining Dimension Data in 1999, Macfee has demonstrated his ability to lead organizational transformation, plan and manage business operations, and inspire talent. For the past year, he was Brazil's country manager while also leading the Americas procurement & logistics team. Before that, Scott was a senior manager within the business where he delivered results in a number of diverse roles, including Americas business transformation director, Americas operations director, and line of business director for convergence and security.
