Discount Drug Mart Adds Wi-Fi Connectivity to its KODAK Picture Kiosks, Creating an Enhanced Photo Experience for its Customers

ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Discount Drug Mart (DDM), an Ohio-based drug store chain, has implemented Kodak's wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) for KODAK Picture Kiosks across its more than 70 locations. With the Wi-Fi functionality on the KODAK Picture Kiosks, consumers can transmit images directly from their ANDROID and APPLE Smartphones to a KODAK Picture Kiosk while in store. This will enable DDM customers to do more with their smartphone images in a simple, fast way.

To complement the Wi-Fi connection, Kodak created the KODAK Kiosk Connect App, which provides the interface for consumers. The app, available for download for free through GOOGLE PLAY or the iTunes Store, provides an intuitive, simple method for consumers to get the images from their smartphones to a KODAK Picture Kiosk. Since Kodak first introduced Wi-Fi printing at its kiosks less than one year ago, there have been more than 1 million downloads of Kodak apps for making photo products from smartphone pictures.
