RESTON, Va., Jan. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) division of the Department of the Treasury to establish and enforce clear, consistent rules for the financial marketplace, protect American families from unfair financial practices, and develop and implement a strategy to improve the financial literacy of consumers the CFPB announced a contract award to obtain contractor support services to provide web development, design and programming support services across a number of CFPB entities. The 5-year, $40,000,000 contract will enable CFPB the flexibility to draw support as needed to meet not only time sensitive and specific requests, but also short and long term Bureau-wide projects.
"We believe strongly in the CFPB initiative and are delighted to have the opportunity to positively impact Treasury's mission around consumer protection," said Dave Truitt, Discover Technologies' CEO.
