In his career, Tumay has handled sales and marketing for Alitalia, DHL Worldwide Express and British Airways. Since 2004, he has served as the Country Manager for Turkey and Central Asia for Alitalia. He is secretary-treasurer of the Board of Airline Representatives in Turkey and a board member for the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
