Discovery En Espanol Goes Deep Inside The Heart Of The Mexican Professional Soccer League With Its New Original Series Acceso Exclusivo: PUMAS

MIAMI, Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In their new original production Acceso Exclusivo: PUMAS, Discovery en Espanol's cameras go beyond the playing field and penetrate the emblematic Pumas soccer club of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), to live with them and showcase the day to day of a First Division professional soccer team, as they train and prepare for the 2012-2013 season. Acceso Exclusivo: PUMAS premieres October 18 and will air on Thursdays at 8 PM E/P.

This four-episode docu-reality series delivers an all-access look into the daily lives and routines of the Pumas of UNAM by following them during a month and a half of their preseason in their training camps in Acapulco and in Mexico City. Chronicling everything from their medical examinations, the secrecy of their tactical training, the roster selection process and the dynamics between the players as they live together, to the professional and family lives of the athletes, the production captures a first-hand look at how the blue and gold squad prepare for their 2012-2013 season, under the direction of ex head coach Joaquin del Olmo. 

In this all-encompassing manner, and with the unmistakable seal of Discovery en Espanol, Acceso Exclusivo: PUMAS, combines CGI images and 3D animations to showcase every physical element behind every play and every technique, as well as the different technological and medical innovations that are impacting the evolution of this sport and its players.

The series shows a process that is full of conflicts, dreams, hopes and disappointment for all those involved in the organization: the coaches, the players, the institution they are part of, as well as their fervent fans. The series also includes never before seen interviews with respected figures such as former player and coach Hugo Sanchez and former player and president of several clubs, Enrique Borja G.
