Diversified Insurance Industries Relocates to Hunt Valley from Cross Keys
Firm founded in 1969 by WWII survivor, Jack Wurfl, moves to Insurance Hub in Baltimore County
HUNT VALLEY, Md., June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Diversified Insurance Industries (DII) announced they are relocating to new office space in Hunt Valley, Maryland on June 26. The 14,500 square foot space is located at 307 International Circle. DII's 75-person firm is moving to provide modern, professional space as well as to participate in the new Insurance business hub forming in Hunt Valley. The company has signed a 10-year lease.
DII was founded by Jack Wurfl, a holocaust survivor whose parents were killed in German concentration camps during World War II when Wurfl was just eight years old. Wurfl was hidden from the Nazi regime in a small fishing village on the North Sea until he came to America in 1950 at the age of seventeen, via Catholic Charities. He started work in Baltimore in the garment industry making neck ties. Wurfl was drafted into the US Military in 1953, where he trained with the 101st Airborne Division and served overseas in the 1st Infantry Division. Wurfl attended night school under the GI Bill while working in the mail room of an insurance company. From these humble beginnings, he learned the insurance industry, launching DII in 1969.
"DII is an example of how to maximize what is possible in America when you apply hard work, dedication, persistence and integrity to your business," said Jack Wurfl, chairman and founder of DII. "Our core values reflect honor and integrity in everything we do."
DII services every aspect of clients' insurance and risk needs, responding quickly in unexpected situations. Since 1969, the company has earned the trust of clients ranging from the region's premier companies to private individuals who want nothing less than to provide their families sound financial protection. http://www.dii-ins.com
