Diversified Medical Equipment & Supplies Corporation Announces New Home Care Medical Supply Division
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Diversified Medical Equipment & Supplies Corporation (DMES, Inc.), a privately owned company, today announced that it has launched a new Home Care Medical Supply division. DMES, Inc. plans to service the entire state of California. The Home Care division is equipped to service customers across the entire home care continuum.
The new division will be under the direction of Mrs. Curtistene Levi, a 26-year veteran of the health care industry. DMES, Inc. has already begun servicing patients out of its Southern California office and is currently developing the Northern California location to be fully operational by April 1, 2011.
Adrian Ioja, General Manager of Diversified Medical Equipment & Supplies, stated, "I am very happy to work with DMES, Inc. in developing this exciting new business segment. After researching various health care continuums, our management team felt the best future opportunity for growth and profitability will be in the home care sector. The home care division will provide the highest level of service and product to our customers through our conveniently located distribution centers within the market area. Diversified Medical Equipment & Supplies' mission is simply to provide the highest quality service and product for our patients resulting in optimal health and independent living."
Home healthcare industry revenues will grow up to 15 percent annually during the next five years, according to a report recently released by investment banking firm Cochran, Caronia & Co. Growth in the home healthcare industry can be attributed to an increasing elderly population, growth in chronic disease prevalence, physician acceptance of homecare, medical advancements and the continued movement towards cost-efficient treatment options from both public and private payors. Based on a report from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, national expenditures on home healthcare services are projected to reach more than $90 billion by 2014.
Mr. Ioja concluded, "DMES's business model is centered on utilizing its current relationships and providing health care resources tailored to meet the needs of the community. The success of our business model depends heavily on timely deliveries and appropriate customer education. In addition, our commitment of capital and resources to start this division will result in further diversification in revenues, thus adding significant value for our ownership."
