Neeta Bhasin, the founder and producer of 'Diwali at Times Square' proudly unveiled the program for the 10th anniversary. She also acknowledged the Office of Faith-Based and Community Partnerships of NYC their support to Diwali at Times Square's mission to celebrate the diversity of India and America.
Neeta Bhasin shared the program for the upcoming festival starting with an Awards and Gala Dinner on October 10, 2025, where the incredible contributions of Indian Americans in the field of Philanthropy, Innovation, Medicine and Entrepreneurship will be honored followed by the Diwali at Times Square festival on October 12, 2025 and the partnership with the Dussehra Diwali Dhamaka Festival in San Francisco, California, and the Diwali Festival of Lights in Toronto, Canada, both held on October 11 and 12, 2025.
The press conference also featured distinguished speakers, including Deputy Consul General Vishal Jayeshbhai Harsh; Queens County Supreme Court Honorable Judge Karen Gopee; Indian American Radiation Oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center, Dr. Dattatreyudu Noori; Country head and CEO of State Bank of India, Mr. Amit Verma and Mr. Prasanta Kumar Tripathy. The press briefing was also attended by the Diwali at Times Square Board members including, Mr. Sunder Advani, Mrs. Beena Kothari, Mr. Rajender Dichapally and Mr. Santosh Peddi. The festival on October 12, 2025 will have a vibrant and engaging Diwali Bazaar as well as a dedicated Kids Zone where children can paint diyas, create colorful Rangoli art, and enjoy interactive reading sessions. Additionally, attendees can look forward to product sampling from vendors, educational information from sponsors, and much more to ensure a fun-filled day for all.
The afternoon will feature the 'Colors of India' program, showcasing spectacular dance performances by various dance schools including India, Indo-Caribbean and Hispanic showcasing inclusion of diversity. In the evening, dignitaries will join together for a special Diya Lighting Ceremony with countdown on the Ball Drop Tower screen, leading into the highly anticipated Light Up Times Square Concert.
The performance lineup for the 10th anniversary of Diwali at Times Square concert was officially announced. The celebration will feature an exceptional mix of legendary icons and rising stars, including The Golden Star Malkit Singh, the artist who brought Punjabi music to the world stage and whose name is etched in the Guinness Book of World Records. Loved by every generation, his timeless hits continue to make waves globally. Joining him will be Grammy-nominated Indian-American Rapper Raja Kumari, who is making history by bringing Indian art, culture, and spirituality to the world stage, along with Indian Idol 2023 winner Rishi Singh and Indian Idol 2024 finalist Anjana Padmanabhan.
