WESTPORT, Conn., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The devastating, 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti has created a dire living situation, particularly for those Haitians living with diabetes. Furthermore, donors often find it difficult to connect aid to specific segments of the population, such as those victims already living with very high rates of diabetes.
dLife, which has the largest online diabetes community, aims to mobilize its members and anyone else interested in helping Haiti's earthquake victims who suffer from diabetes. Now through March 31, 2010, all donations made to the dLife Foundation will go directly to relief organizations assisting those earthquake victims in medical need. dLife is also connecting its members with a variety of relief organizations who are helping the earthquake victims including Insulin for Life. Insulin for Life collects and donates insulin, syringes, test strips and other supplies to people in urgent need, such as Haiti's earthquake victims.
