DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners Hosts Hester Street Fair Events in Hollywood, California

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, LLC ("DLJ-RECP") has partnered with New York's popular Hester Street Fair to present "Hester Goes Hollywood," a series of Hollywood street fairs throughout the summer of 2012.  Hester Goes Hollywood will hold its "Indie Craft Market" on August 18 and its "Goodnight Hollywood Blvd. Music Festival" on August 25.   Both events will be held on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue in the heart of Hollywood, California. 

The Hester Street Fair was started in New York City's Lower East Side neighborhood and has grown to become an iconic gathering place celebrating hundreds of entrepreneurs, small businesses and first-time vendors who represent the best in food, beverage, music, and arts and crafts.   In 2012, DLJ-RECP sponsored Hester Street's first expansion called Hester Nights, a series of events hosted at DLJ-RECP's property on Sixth Avenue in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood.  The great success of Hester Nights inspired the duo's ambitious plans for Hester Goes Hollywood, representing the Fair's introduction to the west coast.  The partnership held its first Hollywood event in June called the "Bite Size Food + Craft Festival" and a subsequent event in July called the "Hollywood Night Market."  The two events enjoyed a tremendous response from the local community.

DLJ-RECP is currently developing the site across the street from Hester Goes Hollywood at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, which will be a mixed-use property with apartments, retail, and extensive on-site parking.  In addition, DLJ-RECP also owns the Taft Building, a 1923 office building on the iconic corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street.  The firm is undertaking a major renovation of the Taft Building to restore its common areas and retrofit its office suites to feature brick walls, polished concrete floors and exposed ceilings.

Following this weekend's Indie Craft Market, Hester Street and DLJ-RECP will host their final event of the summer, Goodnight Hollywood Blvd. Music Festival, on Saturday, August 25th.
