DMDE 4.5 Beta Introduces Enhanced NTFS Recovery and Linux GTK3 Support
BARCELONA, Spain, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DMDE Data Recovery Software announces the launch of version 4.5.0 Beta.
The software's latest version, 4.5.0 Beta, implemented an option to open recovered file or folder right after recovery: you can now open a recovered file, show it in its destination folder, or open the recovery folder directly from the recovery results window – this made it easier to check that recovered files open and can be read correctly, without going back to preview them in DMDE. For newer Linux systems Linux version with GTK3 support has been introduced. Next, improvements were made to NTFS $LogFile processing - even more recently deleted files can now be recovered. User interface was further improved for a smoother experience. Then there were fixed a critical APFS processing bug affecting damaged filesystem records and incorrect escaping of some characters in filenames in the HTML file list in DMDE Professional.
New features can make recovery smoother, but what matters most is whether people can get their files back. These two accounts from users of earlier DMDE versions show how that plays out in practice:
Jacek Gawron:
I thank the creators for this tool with my whole heart, allowed me to recover 1.4TB of family photos which were on a corrupted disk, i wish all the best of good luck for these people, i would gladly give this 10 stars
A second user faced a different problem: photographs on an SD card the camera could no longer read.
D Thorne:
For what ever reason, transferring files from my Sony Tough SD card to PC failed part way, and the files became corrupt. Then I couldn't open the folder on my pc or even my Sony A1 camera. It was telling me to reformat the SD card!
I even tried the Sony Tough recovery software - Failed!
However, DMDE quickly found all RAW images and I was able to restore all of them. Thanks!
