DMI Wins Two-Year Task Order with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Company to Support the Legacy Alien Criminal Response Information Management (ACRIMe) System, Used 24x7x365 for Law Enforcement Investigations
BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DMI, a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm, today announced it has won a two-year Task Order to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) legacy Alien Criminal Response Information Management (ACRIMe) System.
The legacy ACRIMe system directly supports the ICE mission as the primary system used by ICE Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC) specialists to provide immigration status, identity information, and real-time assistance to law enforcement agencies requesting assistance with identifying aliens suspected, arrested, or convicted of criminal activity. The mission-critical legacy ACRIMe system must be available 24x7x365 to provide rapid response to queries from the Federal, state, and local law enforcement community. Without timely responses, criminal aliens could be unknowingly released from custody and endanger public safety or national security.
Under the contract, DMI will provide:
- Tier 2 and Tier 3 Support for the legacy ACRIMe system including software maintenance, updates to system documentation, and execution of change and enhancement requests.
- Operational support for system interfaces and data sources, database, reporting, system tuning, and system administration.
- Application-level configuration management for all O&M changes made to the system.
The service DMI will provide will help ICE meet congressionally mandated requirements for national security and community safety.
"We are honored to have been selected by ICE to operate, maintain and enhance a system which is so vital to U.S. homeland security and public safety," said Jay Sunny Bajaj, DMI's President and CEO. "We are proud of the rock-solid reputation we have built operating and maintaining mission-critical systems for many Federal agencies, including the Department of Commerce, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Agriculture and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. We look forward to working with ICE and continuing to build on our record of impeccable reliability and service."
