DMS Recruits Michael Garvey As Managing Director

NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DMS Offshore Investment Services Ltd. (DMS), the world's largest fund governance firm, is adding to its onshore fund governance capabilities with the recruitment of Michael Garvey, a former Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management (JPMAAM).

Mr. Garvey will serve DMS as a Managing Director and will be based in the firm's New York office. He will also have the capacity to serve as an independent director on the boards of investment funds and related structures, and will play a key role in DMS Operational Due Diligence services, also based in its New York office. In addition, he will provide thought leadership to institutional investors and consultants through DMS roundtables and seminars, industry conferences, articles and proprietary research.

Mr. Garvey brings to DMS an excellent track record in operational due diligence and fund administration with some of the largest hedge funds in the industry. At J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management, he led both the Operational Due Diligence and Operations teams, and was responsible for the operational due diligence, customized solutions and fund administration activities of all of JPMAAM's products and nearly 100 managers across the globe invested with the firm.

He has conducted due diligence reviews on over 1200 hedge funds, including private equity funds and service providers such as fund administrators, external valuation agents, boards of directors and consultancy firms.
