CINCINNATI, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Procter & Gamble's (NYSE: PG) Charmin, today announced a nationwide contest to find 51 representatives from across the country to compete to be King or Queen of the Charmin Go Nation and a chance to win $50,000. Celebrating the fifth year of the Charmin Restrooms in Times Square, the Charmin Go Nation was created as a movement for the entire nation to enjoy a better bathroom experience. The contest was designed for those consumers who truly appreciate the Charmin Restroom experience.

To enter, consumers can visit to upload a two-minute video submission or attend an in-person audition (New York City on October 26, Los Angeles on October 29 and Chicago on November 3) to describe why they "Enjoy the Go."  Charmin will award the semi-finalist Charmin Go Nation Representatives with $500 for being the person from their state or the District of Columbia who best embodies Charmin's "Enjoy the Go" spirit. Following the announcement, the selected Charmin Go Nation representatives will then have three weeks to prove who "Enjoys the Go" the most.  Based on points received for various activities including a toilet seat decoration and State Media challenge, the top five representatives will be flown to New York City for three days and two nights where they will finally compete for the $50,000 grand prize at the Charmin Restrooms in Times Square on December 28.

"Charmin's mission is to inspire consumers across the country to 'Enjoy the Go,'" says Charmin brand manager, Jacques Hagopian. "We are always looking for fresh and interesting ways to engage our consumers, whether it is in the Charmin Restrooms in Times Square, on the go, or at home. We're looking for someone who embodies the 'Enjoy the Go' spirit to lead the Charmin Go Nation."

The entry process will run through 5:00 pm ET November 7, after which semi-finalists will be selected and announced on November 22.  The five finalists will be announced on December 20. Each finalist will be flown to New York City for a final competition for the $50,000 grand prize and the title of King or Queen of the Charmin Go Nation on December 28 at the Charmin Restrooms in Times Square.

"Every day, each and every one of us goes to the bathroom, and we truly believe that those who go with Charmin really 'enjoy the go,'" remarked Hagopian.  "With today's announcement, we are searching for the person who best embodies this spirit of 'Enjoy the Go' – and as King or Queen of the Charmin Go Nation, they could win a $50,000 Grand Prize award; what could be better?  Particularly around the holidays while the economy is still suffering, we wanted to offer consumers across the country some relief."

The Charmin Restrooms will be located at 142 West 42nd Street in Times Square between 6th and 7th streets and will open to the public beginning November 22 through December 31. For more information, visit
