MILWAUKEE, Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Dohmen Life Science Services (DLSS) will sponsor the 2015 Rare Diseases & Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit, hosted by the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) October 21-22 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.  As part of their conference participation, DLSS leadership, including Dr. Eric Floyd, chief science officer of Dohmen and Wendy White, SVP of rare disease at Dohmen and founder of Siren Interactive, will showcase the full integrated suite of lifecycle services tailored to rare disease.

"As the mother of a child with a rare disorder, and former board member of NORD, I've watched as this community has broken one barrier after another—innovating, advocating, collaborating, fundraising, organizing—all with one unwavering goal, to stop or reverse the suffering inflicted by a rare disease on someone they love," said Wendy White, SVP of rare disease at Dohmen.  "As the healthcare industry continues to grow its focus on rare, this meeting is a real opportunity to continue that conversation on a large scale.  We're looking forward to connecting with the patient community and the foremost thinkers in that industry at this Breakthrough Summit."

"As someone who has worked through the development cycles for numerous orphan therapies, I know that every disease state is unique," said Eric Floyd, chief science officer.  "At Dohmen, we are fully committed to improving the rare patient experience by bringing our customers a range of fully integrated services personalized to each program."

The Rare Diseases and Orphan Products Breakthrough Summit is the largest multi-stakeholder event dedicated to rare diseases and the only rare disease conference co-sponsored by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
