Dominion Announces Officer-level Changes to Broaden Leadership Experience

RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dominion (NYSE: D) announced today a number of changes within its officer ranks. Thomas F. Farrell II, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said a primary motivation behind the changes is continuing the company's initiative to broaden the experience of its senior leadership team.

"Providing opportunities for our executives to expand their knowledge of other parts of the company and share their perspectives is invaluable."

The company announced the following changes, effective Jan. 1, 2012:

• Richard Zelenko, vice president-Retail, will retire from the company after more than 33 years of service. Zelenko joined Consolidated Natural Gas, which merged with Dominion in 2000, as a technical management trainee at East Ohio Gas Co. He since has served in several other capacities, ascending to his current position in 2004. Under Zelenko's leadership, Dominion Retail has grown to serve 2.2 million natural gas, electric and energy services customers in deregulated energy markets in 15 states.

• Succeeding Zelenko will be Katheryn B. Curtis, currently vice president-Fossil & Hydro Merchant Operations. She will report to Paul D. Koonce, CEO of Dominion Virginia Power. Curtis joined Virginia Power in 1981.
  
• Edward H. Baine, vice president-Shared Services, will assume Curtis' current role. He will report to J. David Rives, senior vice president-Fossil & Hydro. Baine has been with the company since 1995.
  
• Becky C. Merritt, director-Customer Care and Energy Management at Dominion Virginia Power, will be promoted to vice president-Shared Services, succeeding Baine. She will report to Steven A. Rogers, president and chief administrative officer-Dominion Resources Services. Merritt has been with the company since 1979.

On Sept. 1, Thomas P. Wohlfarth was named senior vice president-Regulatory Affairs, reporting to Farrell. Wohlfarth had previously served as senior vice president-State Electric Regulation. He came to Virginia Power in 1985.

Also on Sept. 1, Christine M. Schwab became vice president-Regulatory Compliance and chief risk officer, adding responsibility for electric market policy and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance. She previously was vice president and chief risk officer. She reports to Carter M. Reid, vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer, on compliance issues, and to Mark F. McGettrick, executive vice president and chief financial officer, in her role as chief risk officer. She came to Dominion in 1995.

In the Dominion Nuclear business unit, the following changes also will be effective Jan. 1, 2012:

• Gerald T. "Jerry" Bischof, site vice president-Surry Power Station, becomes site vice president-North Anna Power Station. Bischof has been with the company since 1981 and assumed his current position in 2008.
• N. Larry Lane, site vice president-North Anna Power Station, becomes site vice president-Surry Power Station. Lane has been with the company since 1981 and assumed his current position in 2010.
• Stephen E. Scace, site vice president-Kewaunee Power Station, becomes site vice president-Millstone Power Station. Scace joined Millstone in 1970 and assumed his current position in 2007.
• A.J. "Skip" Jordan, site vice president-Millstone Power Station, becomes site vice president-Kewaunee Power Station. Jordan joined Millstone in 1983 and assumed his current position in 2008.

The site vice presidents report to Daniel G. Stoddard, senior vice president-Nuclear Operations.
